How to Turn Your Refunds into Donations

The event industry has seen an increase of in-person events being cancelled and organizations are looking for new ways to retain some of the revenue from these events and continue to move forward.

In response to these unprecedented circumstances and to help fulfill a client need, the Event Tech Group has developed a software solution that allows organizations to process refunds from canceled events while giving attendees the option to donate a portion of the refund back to the organization.

The process is simple and convenient both for the admin and the end-user. Here’s how it works:

  1. Attendees are given an encrypted website link to process their refund.
  2. Once on the website, attendees are given the option to receive a full refund for the cancelled event or donate a percentage of their refund back to the host organization.
  3. Your organization incurs a small fee for each donation and refund processed.

Within the first week, one client who had to cancel their event used the ReFUND Donation Software to automatically process over 8,600 refunds. These refunds resulted in over $75,000 in donations for the organization.
